Generic Structure

• Newsworhty Event

Main Events / Newsworthy Events : are headlines, a part that summarizes an important event or event that occurred.

Example :

Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigator Novel Baswedan tested positive for the corona virus (Covid-19). Novel has undergone a swab test and the results are positive, then undergoing independent isolation.  

• Background Event

Background of the event/elaboration : describes in detail the background of the incident or events that occurred, who was involved, where and how the event occurred.

Example:

Citing reports from a number of media, Novel felt that he did not feel any symptoms that made him lie weak. He admitted that he only had symptoms in the form of fever and cough, but this did not mean that he had to be hospitalized.

It is known that during May-July, 7 KPK employees tested positive for the corona virus. Five of them have recovered and two are undergoing quarantine.

After that, the KPK conducted mass swab tests for employees and a number of suspects and detainees who were suspected of having made contact.

Most recently, the KPK stated that 14 people were positively infected with the corona virus. They are 9 employees, 4 non-employees and 1 prisoner.

• Sources

Source : the last part of the news structure of a text, is a news source that can state sources, comments, expert opinions, or statements from related parties of an event.

Example :

"That's right. The information we received was one of the investigators who based on the swab test it was confirmed that Corona was positive," said KPK spokesman Ali Fikri when contacted, Friday (28/8).

Ali said Novel and other employees who tested positive for the corona virus had undergone independent isolation. The KPK, he continued, is working with the hospital to continue to monitor the health developments of employees who are positively infected with Covid-19.
